All About Me
My name is Simone and I'm a junior in high school. I like to do anything that includes a creative or analytical component and hope to study engineering design at Duke. I was born in Boston but now I live here in Florida.
Media Studies Experience
So far, Media Studies has been incredibly fun. In class, we have done a few activities to help us learn the material we need to know. During class one day, we did a gallery walk for notes. My favorite activity - as of right now - has been creating a movie poster to describe why we took the class. I truly enjoyed being able to be creative and it also led to me creating an entire storyline, which was nice.
Portfolio Process Gains
I hope to gain:
- Skills in creating a portfolio (as this is my first)
- Skills regarding the formatting of a blog
Product of Interest
I am leaning towards doing the film opening because one of the main reasons I joined this class was because I was interested in learning how to create films so I could finally have a visual presentation of the stories I think of.
